The Cub Scouting Program
Cub Scouting is for boys in the first
through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. Boys who
are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade,
can no longer join Cub Scouting.
Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have
the boys doing things. Activities are used to
achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship
training, character development, and personal fitness.
Many of the
activities happen right in the den and pack at the weekly
den meetings
and the monthly pack meetings.
Since its beginning Cub Scouts has been a
fun
and educational experience concerned with values. It
provides a
positive place where boys can enjoy safe, wholesome
activities. Cub
Scouting focuses on building character, improving physical
fitness,
teaching practical skills, and developing a spirit of
community service.
As a program for the entire family, Cub
Scouting
can help families teach their children a wholesome system
of values and
beliefs while building and strengthening relationships
among family
members.
Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub
Scouting activities the boys learn core values. The Cub
Scout Promise,
The Law Of The Pack, and the Cub Scout Sign, The
Handshake, The Motto,
and The Salute all teach good citizenship, duty to God,
duty to family,
and contribute to a boy's sense of belonging.

Our Pack
Pack 370 is chartered by and located at Green
Acres Baptist Church on Troop Hwy in Tyler, TX. Pack
370 has over 30
years of history in scouting. Our pack is part of
the Okee
Tuklo district within the East
Texas Area Council. Like all Cub Scout Packs,
we are completely made
up of adult volunteers who manage the pack and lead the
boys.
Adult volunteers are typically family members of the boys
and are both
members and non-members of Green Acres Baptist Church. If you are
interested in joining, volunteering, or helping in any
capacity please
email the Cubmaster
or
Committee Chair.
We meet Monday
nights
at
6:00
pm on the 2nd floor in
the Adult Education Buildng. Meetings are typically
one hour
long. For upcoming events
please reference the calendar
on this website.
Our Dens
The boys become a part of a "Den" of their

and
are led by an adult Den Leader.
Dens are a group boys of the same school age as follows:

 Wolves - 2nd grade
 Bears - 3rd grade

Boys will participate in many fun
activities
throughout the year.
These include the annual Pine Wood Derby in January. There
are also at
least two opportunities a year for you and your boys to go
camping,
once in the fall
and once in the spring. Additionally, there are other
opportunities for
community service, learning, field trips, and individual
